Beautiful Bostons, Russ. thumbsup2.gif

With so many ultra-high grade issues from the mid-60s onward, it once again makes me wonder about how far back the Boston pedigree runs. In racking my brain, I can't remember a single Boston book that pre-dates late '64. Is my brain simply addled (a distinct possibility), or does the pedigree truly start around '65?

Earliest I`ve seen is 1965.

Its "Oakland" time

Below are most of my late Silver/Early Bronze age Oaklands.

Can someone please tell me what comic cover is reprinted on the "Where Monsters Dwell" cover below. confused-smiley-013.gif

Once again the blue cover is just amazing. Its one of those covers that makes me happy to own this book every time I see it. (Thanks Doug Schmell)

Here are some pics of my 3 Northland Pedigree Books.

These also come with a nice Certificate.

Can anyone comment on how accurate the grade on the COA has proved to be against the CGC grade. On the above example Brother Power The Geek #1, COA was 9.0, CGC was 9.4. Off the top of my head, all of the COA grades exactly match the CGC grade on the 4 or 5 Northland J.I.M.s I own.

FF13 Northland was graded VF/NM by Motor City, and received an 8.5Q from CGC.

Obviously, there would be exceptions. Plus it's possible a slight amount of damage occured AFTER Motor City sold the book.

Why is it Qualified?

Well another Pedigree that I know absolutely nothing about is the

"Bethlehem" Pedigree.

Everytime I hear the name it conjurs up thoughts in my mind of a middle aged Jesus Christ sitting at a table showing all the deciples his comic collection.

Anyway if you are religious person I don't mean to offend. sorry.gif

Russ, the Bethlehem pedigree is the easiest to identify due to the shop stamp on the back. It's not a top pedigree as the grades are variable but it's noteworthy and established..

And it's Bethlehem PA, not the one five miles south of Jerusalem. tongue.gif
