Can someone give me some info on this John Byrne Silver Surfer book

I just picked up this book for $31. What was the deal. A one shot? I love the Silver Surfer and it seemed like a good price. Why was there only one issue and not a series. It is noted as Vol 2 #1?

Also is it just me or is the shadow on his left sholder AND left leg wrong???

I read my copy once and never after that one time. Fairly common book, I see them all the time at conventions. The thicker cover allows them to stay in nice condition.

Yea I got it on eBay below the GPA so I thought "what the hell" I like the Surfer and it is a 9.8 with White pages so I bought it???
