It's about time some stricter moderation came to this forum. I'm a member of other forums and the CGC forum is by far the most immature of them all. Sometimes it's fun to watch the madness and the majoirty of the time it's old and bothersome to see the fighting, arguments and attacks.

 

I was guilty of getting a strike recently from cgcmod0 and I don't blame them at all. I deserved it and took it like a man. Unlike some who continue to post on here when they shouldn't, create shill accounts to mess with the boards, etc.

 

If this forum was moderated like some of the others....you'd be in for a rude awakening.

I don't know if this is relevant here.

 

There was another BB that I went to that was for a musical act. I did not wind up posting often in matters concerning the musical artist. However, I did wind up posting heavily in Off Topic as the area was a free for all.

 

When things became too insane a separate area was created specifically for that insanity, language, insinuations and provocative name calling. Politics, religion, vegan v. vegetarianism v omnivorous diets v posting pics to the vegans of people eating hamburgers were the norm.

 

It was a blast.

 

The problem is that the board in question was a private entity while this forum is an extension of a company's business. I understand why the moderation is conducted differently and may be considered in some cases arbitrary.

 

I think that we all have an idea of what is allowed and what it not around these parts. If in effect we do not we are usually reminded if it falls into that gray area. However there are also some people that perhaps need to be avoided here as their very contributions invite others to point out certain attributes that they may or may not have.

 

Just saying.

Lastly, on the Boards we don't use the word cadre. It's a nice word but seldom used.

 

Cabal & clique are the words of choice around here, not cadre or coterie.

 

eg The Hive is a cabal or clique but not a cadre.
