FF #1, CGC 5.5 blue label SOLD, CLOSED

28 posts in this topic

One book for sale. The list price is firm, and includes worldwide shipping. Payments are accepted via check or money order in US funds - by not accepting PayPal, the book can be priced hundreds less than it otherwise would. A time payment schedule can be negotiated, but the first unconditional 'take it' graemlin wins the comic.

Disclosure: I do not know for certain that the book has been pressed, but owing to the policies of the dealer from whom it was purchased, consider the comic pressed.

I have always wondered who tied up Mr. Fantastic in the first place. Kind of odd with a giant monster breaking through the street to tie someone up and then split.

I always assumed it was the Mole Man.

Great book btw :cloud9:

O and Joeypost if you were wondering about Mr. Fantastic, what about the fact that Sue Storm is concerned about not turning invisible fast enough, erm how is that going to help? He is holding her! Just because he can't see her doesn't mean he can't retain his grip/feel her there?

Good point.

Why is there a crack in the shadow of the buildings under Mr. Fantastic?

Someone must have had a decent explanation for these events and won a no prize.

AHHH! Amazing! GLWTS!

What's with the $19K outlier? Anyone know?

A 5.5 a while back with a crease on back cover sold on Heritage. People have said the crease didn't break color others say they feel it did. Guess a huge gamble?

If you look at the end of the sidewalk, you'll see that criminal who was admiring his roping of Mr. Fantastic til all hell broke lose and he pulled a Houdini :)

I've taken over Namisgr's account momentarily to answer your queries, true believers.

- Mister Fantastic was tied up by the merciless minions of the Mole Man who, fearful of the light, have retreated into underground darkness from whence they came.

- Sue is speaking as she is being grabbed by the subterranean monster, hence her lament that she can't turn invisible fast enough.

- The street crack in the shadow under Mister Fantastic is visible because the shadow darkens but doesn't completely block the reader's view of the street.

Excelsior!
