I'm not a fan of Johns's writing, but I'm a big fan of the DC animated movies. For anyone who read the mini this was based on, is it a buy or a rental?

I loved the series other than the fact that it was the reason for the New 52 garbage. However, it's a solid story, especially the Batman Spinoff mini-series.
