TDG: Please grade this outrageous copy of X-Men #147 (Uncanny!)

I have no problem giving it a 9.4 or 9.6. I'm hesitant to give it a higher grade than that because it's such a crapshoot and I don't grade higher than a 9.4.

9.6, i'd have said 9.8 but I don't know if those corners are blinted much or if the overhang on the right edge can be pressed straight...

A very nice 9.4 almost said 9.2 because of the corners....

9.4 to 9.6. A "tweener" because of the slightly bent corners and some very minor spine stress and some very slight abrasion on the bottom edge near the spine. A gorgeous copy. Too nice for a 9.4, but perhaps a tad too much wear for a 9.6.

I don't think you can grade higher than 9.4 based on a scan. The tiny bends that often preclude books from 9.6 or better are not evident on a scan.

 

That said, it's a sweet book and there is the possibility that it's better than 9.4.

i wouldn't slab it...what do those post-143 xmens go for these days? 12-16 bucks....for the price of the grading fee get yourself #148 in the same great shape

Seems a lot tighter than your ASM#132 that you graded a VF+ to VF/NM.

Everyday I wake up I can feel al little better that he is not! Seriously though I have a few books coming back from there and there is always a few surprises both ways! I can hardly wait for my Master of Kung Fu 24 9.8 OW/W It puts me on just to think Ill see it again!
