Popular Post N e r V
Heritage win yesterday of a book that’s tough in grade. You can find good/very good copies out there but becomes increasingly difficult above. I missed a CGC 6.0 recently at Comic Link so I’m getting a raw Fine+ from the Roger Hill Collection who passed recently. If you don’t know who he was check out Heritages page or Google his name. This book received a Gerber 7 and with only 15 copies graded the highest being 7.5 that’s probably its range. Not as famous as issues #9 or #10 in the run this is among my favorite haunted house covers in comics. The blood red only adds to its appeal. So after a few years my hunt has ended barring a future upgrade…. vaultkeeper, Mr. Lady Luck, adamstrange and 6 others

There were certainly artists that had some doozies, but I maintain that Bailey was the king of the bizarre/macabre in the GA/PCH.eras. In fact, that seems like an excellent topic ... https://boards.cgccomics.com/topic/539511-who-was-the-master-of-the-bizarremacabre-in-the-gapch-eras-lets-go-for-a-walk-on-the-dark-side/
Popular Post N e r V
It’s a Beware week. I picked up this CGC 3.5 because the price seemed good. Not sure how they ever credited the cover to Krenkel/Harrison when you can clearly see the Myron Fass signature.🙄 This is on my list for an upgrade too one day but for now this will do. I tend to like Fass covers when I see them and Egyptian theme makes it a buy for me. Only 13 CGC copies highest being a 6.5…. Artists inside and cover artists match the above. Both are March but ones 1953 and the others 1955. The “other” #13 and #14 should be labeled #13(#1) and #14(#2) which they are by CGC with the correct cover artist. Not sure how the wrong information ended up on the 1955 #14???
