Question about Ultimate-Spiderman #1 white variant

12 posts in this topic

How much is the issue realistically worth?

I just got my copy graded by CGC and it came back as a 9.8 (of course white pages).

I am thinking of selling it possibly to go and fill up holes in my collection (specially bronze age daredevils), so I wanted to see if it would be worth selling, and how much I can realistically get for it. I have seen it go on Ebay for everything from $300 to $1250 for CGC copies...

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I also got a 9.6 Astonishing X-Men #4 Colossus variant come back, that worth anything? I don't think it's worth much, but since I already had a reader copy with the regular edition, I figured I'd send it to get graded.

Thanks!

Well... it depends on your "experience" as an Ebay seller.

There are buyers willing to pay more when the book is sold by a seller who:

- has been on Ebay a while

- has high Ebay feedback score

- has few (if any) negative notes

- has experience selling comics

- shows a nice scan

- clearly states shipping charges

When you don't see all of the above in an auction... the price is usually lower.

And if anyone's never sold on Ebay before, it can be extremely low prices...

mainly because the potential buyers can't put a lot of trust in the seller.

Yes, everyone has to start somewhere, but they don't have to start

with their most expensive items. Red flags go up...

So I might not be able to get as much since I've never sold on EBay before then...

I have a 71 feedback, with never a negative feedback, but it's all been from buying, not selling.

I do plan on putting a nice scan in the auction, and I definitely know to state shipping charges clearly (and I don't plan on charging for handling, just actual shipping that can be tracked and probably insurance since it would be a high price item), so I have those bases covered...

Thanks for the advice though

It's now on my desktop!

Thank you.

Thanks!

That is great, I will be able to fill up quite a hole in my Daredevil, Iron Man and Avangers collections if I can get more than 800 bucks smile.gif

I picked up my package from CGC this morning, I'll scan it tonight and put it up on EBay. If anyone's interested feel free to PM me smile.gif
