My Last invoice from...

8 posts in this topic

or That's it from ECCC

Although Wizard World had on-site grading, my books, and those entrusted to me should have been back the last day of the con. They weren't. Stan Lee signed a ridiculous amount of books. I watched as someone placed a suitcase next to him and started to unload it. Whether they were all for CGC or not I don't know but I did see a few get picked up. Apparently, the batch my comics were in were the second day he was there...after the cut off. Now as I wait I have to send off an email to find out how long. I hate that because I feel like a nuisance, but if they were just my books I wouldn't care.

I like being able to check on my books. To see when they are received, graded, and shipped. Well, suffice to say my last invoice from ECCC has finally changed from "scheduled for grading" to "graded". These were books i brought for Chris Claremont to sign. Some of the earlier issues of X-Men. 96,100, and 104. Suffice to say, I am still hoping I find out what my Daredevil #2 is before I find out what the trio of x-books are.

I still have more books out there, but they are sitting waiting for conventions for signatures. This includes annuals #2 and #3 of the New Mutants, both my 9.8's and my original copies, but as far as what CGC has, I am just waiting and everyone in this community knows how long a wait this could be.

Thanks for Reading

Does anyone else get excited to see other peoples grades like I do?

Oh yeah! I'm always interested in seeing what books people are sending in and the results. I have 35, mostly bronze age, books submitted for grading. I will definitely share the results.

+1. Those are some of my favorite journals...what did you send in, what did you think you would receive, and what you actually received. Looking forward to seeing the results of your submission! 35 books is a lot too...no way I can afford that many economy books at once.

I'll share the results and pics as soon as I get them back. I have one lot (15 books) at "Graded" and the other lot (20 books) at "Scheduled for Grading". They were sent in the same box so I'm guessing in the next 2-3 weeks I should have something back.

I've been sending books like this in on the "Value" tier when possible to save money. Sometimes it's hard to justify sending in a book to be graded when it's value probably won't come close to covering the grading cost (it is for me at least). But I do love the excitement of opening the box from CGC when it arrives.
