Anyway to lift the insurance limit on UPS?

4 posts in this topic

Presently UPS is a Maximum of $100 insurance for return shipping from CGC... I have gambled and had 10 books returned to me saving maybe $40 over USPS registered mail. I would prefer UPS as a return carrier for my books but hate to gamble each time.

anyone else take that gamble to save on shipping?

Set up private insurance and then you don't have to worry about it.

And if you set up a Fedex account for yourself online there is a box can check on the CGC invoice that says "use my self insured fedex account". Maybe you can do the same with UPS, but there is no handy box on the form.

With one or two books, using CGC's UPS service is probably the same as using your own Fedex account. But with 10 books UPS ($28) it is certain you could ship for less still using your own Fedex account. I received a shipment of 20 books for about $17 a few months ago.
