To Comicwhiz:

is Twitter necessary? I don't have it, shouldI consider getting it?

CAL hm

I wouldn't say it's necessary, but it's definitely something worth looking into. I use it for way too many things to list in a thread or a single post. If speaking strictly from a hobby standpoint, I've found collections, buyers for all sorts of collectibles, and met some good people along the way. It does require an investment of time to figure out how best to leverage it's practical uses, but nothing you couldn't swing if you're already posting once or twice a week on these boards.

@johnwmcarthur

I use it mostly for autoracing info from different drivers and media...

Most memorable tweets are when I get @hinchtown to respond to my tweets...

I will say twitter is faster with news when there is an event/disaster...

99.99 percent of the time it beats mainstream media.

@frayed_sanity

Sports content heavy, particularly Georgia Bulldawgs, Braves, Falcons, etc. Language can be pretty colorful.

Another good thing about Twitter, anything goes language wise outside of illegal things I suppose, but you can curse people out to your heart's content.
