But I watched the auction. Think prices were pretty strong. Put a semi-serious bid on the TOS21. The dust shadow on the top edge kept me from going bigger. Been going to that show for a long time. Place was pretty crowded, it got a lot more full when I was leaving as the cosplayers stormed the place - best costume IMHO goes to the Skeksis (from The Dark Crystal movie) although it did clog the aisle. Award for the "Comic I didn't expect to see at this show" goes to the dealer with the restored Mask 1 in CGC 4.5 on the wall. Pretty much the usual dealers, but since I haven't been to a con in almost 2 years, it felt good to be back and dig around. Surprised by the selection of Atlas era books, 4 dealers had a decent stock. Saw the most slabbed books ever at this show, but it was mainly modern stuff. Good percent of the crowd was female and kids were buying books as well. Say about 80% of the booths were comics, had a few with toys/figures/art and one with Pokemon cards (I think that's what they were). Yes, there was the obligatory fan boy or three who hadn't showered in several days just to complete the whole convention experience. I intentionally took some blurry pics to protect the innocent (and if you believe that...) Left side of the room Right side of the room I picked up 2 copies of Fantasy Masterpieces #2 (which reprints the Fin Fang Foom story from ST89). Bought the second one just to give a dealer I frequent a few bucks while we were talking. No one had an ST89... Also picked up a couple of cheapies for the Panama Red collection...both are Everett covers...
