Infinite Marvel Picture Frame books
southern cross replied to Guardian Comics's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Picked up these picture frames last weekend at Emerald City comic con. $6-8 each and I'm seriously missing the romance. I see a lot of Charltons and to a lesser extent DC, rarely come across marvel. -

I'm going to guess, Captain America? Though I'm wondering if a monster title has more. -
Marvel is giving away "Must-Have" free comics!
southern cross replied to SpineTic's topic in Comics General
No such thing as a free lunch. All those free comic books in free comic book day that you all pick up for free, the comic shop owners have to actually buy them to hand out for free. I suspect this 'free' Marvel comic would be the same. -

I was playing D&D with my school friends and I bought the Marvel superheroes roleplaying game for something different. The rule book said you can get good ideas from Marvel comic books for adventures. The game came with a adventure module called The day of the octopus. Spiderman and Avengers against Doc Ock and a bunch of Spidey villains. So the next day I ventured to the new stand and bought this book. This is the same exact comic book. I enjoyed reading it and the next day I bought Avengers 277 and I've been buying and collecting ever since. 👍

Thanks. The downside to helping out at a comic book store as is it costs me money helping out there. I see books like this walking thru the door and I'm like ok, a 1945 Batman. Needs a new home 👍

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

That Astonishing looks like 2020 prices. Thinking not having straight white pages was a factor as well. -

When it comes to bronze I'd be careful how much you spend, there's a lot out there and a lot that is now seeing the light of day in fifty years. I help out at a comic book store and these are on consignment from a gentleman who had a arrangement with a lady who worked at a distribution company. He was able to buy as much as he wanted when they came out for half cover price. He bought them and unread were put into a box and stored away until now. I cherry picked a Demon 1 for myself The books he bought were random, and in numbers. Here is some others.
