Good article. I agree with his perspective.

 

Though by using cover months he distorts the chronology slightly.

 

SW1, TOS1 and TTA1 all came out the same month -- September 1958.

 

JIM50 and ST67 also came out the same month -- October 1958.

Finally got a nice copy of this lil gem!

 

I am putting this in the pre-hero thread, cause it has a great monster cover by Everett, an T-Rex story by Bob Brown, and ...oh... there is a nifty early Altas Ditko story: "The Vanishing Martians". A nice book that you dont see everyday.

That Marvel Tales is an awesome cover. Only seen a couple of ratty looking copies for sale. Here are some of my favorite TOS covers.
