The umpire is calling strikes..................

Has the crying stopped yet?

It never does

I don't get it, it's not like if you get a strike you have to serve a week on a chain gang.

Instead of all the arguing about strikes, how about just stopping the behavior?

I think it's a guy thing, lol.

More likely a low IQ thing.

hm

Your usual level of research and understanding I see.

Not much research and understanding needed, to laugh at your foot in your mouth.

Again. :roflmao:

Good to see you admit you had no research or understanding once again. (thumbs u

pushbutton muffin

Is that slang for something naughty?

It means what you want it to mean.

"I am the muffin." - Laura

I am going to devote some thought tonight what it should mean.

You know, I hate to say it, but Tranny's right. We are not...especially those of us who have ever bought, sold, or submitted a slabbed coin/book..."owed nothing." We are supporting the Certified Collectibles Group, and part of that pays for this: it is advertising. Every single time a person googles something and discovers this board because of something someone else posted...and thereby becomes interested in slabs....that advertising has paid off. And who is responsible for the content of this board?

We are.

The people who run the Certified Collectibles Group...and the IT/moderation that they contract out to...account for, perhaps, 1/100,000th of the posts on this board. Who is responsible for the rest?

We are.

"If you build it, they will come."

They built it. We came. This board is a tremendous repository of experience, knowledge, and information on nearly every possible facet of the coin and comic book industries, all at the fingertips of anyone with a good search engine. Who is responsible for that?

We are.

Don't tell me that the Certified Collectibles Group doesn't owe anyone anything,. At the very least, they owe the people who have contributed a thank you for helping make these boards such a wonderful advertisement for their products.

I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on submissions, and why?

Because of this board.

I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on Sig Series books, and why?

Because of this board.

And I'm teeny tiny small fry. There are many more...and much bigger...fish than me out there. And many, many of us gave NGC/CGC more business...and even business in the first place....because of this board.

No problem on not contacting me, I figured you were busy, or didn't like me. Or both. ;)

And being the contrarian that I am, I can refute this line of thought by simply saying that I owe the boards, not the other way around.

"Why?" you ask.

Well mainly because of the money I've saved on my cable bills and internet porn site charges by making this chat forum my primary source of entertainment.

THANK YOU, CGC!

There is no butthurt like "moan about the mods" butthurt. :cloud9:

Thinking that spending lots of money with the company that hosts these boards should gain some special gratitude from them is hilarious. Yeah..... right, it's not like those people aren't already making money out of the hosts themselves. lol I do business with plenty of people without expecting them to owe me anything beyond the agreed transactions.

It's not "special" gratitude, gentlemen. It is simply gratitude.

Most people who own businesses can appreciate this concept.

You don't understand that, that's ok. I don't understand why you guys can't disagree without denigrating the people you disagree with.

But hey, that's just me.

I was just agreeing with the sentiment of gaz's post.

That CGC should take extra latitude with the behavior on these boards, because of gratitude that some are paying customers, is a stretch.

Some of the things I've read on this board, said aloud in a store would result in the customers being asked to leave.

I'm not talking about "extra latitude." This isn't about swinging over to the "latitude" side of things.

This is about swinging to somewhere to the middle, and staying there. Consistency in applying the same rules to everyone, all the time.

You'd think such an idea wouldn't be controversial....

No wrist slaps, no vacations. Maybe the moderators like my taste in music.

I'll take the Chairman of the Board every day and twice on Sunday over the King

They must also like the Smiths, Buffett, Billy Joel, Beatles and Phish as well as my guilty pleasures of a few other bands.

:gossip: Free porn is like literally the easiest thing to find on the internet. There is no need to pay for it....

Yes. I know he was joking
