The Avengers 2/Avengers #55 hype could actually breathe some life into the book. Plus you've got the Guardians hype with Drax.

Wow. that is a sick price paid by somebody with too much money to spend. there is no way he/she ever gets their money out of that book....especially as more and more 9.6s are pressed up to 9.8.

 

I hope the buyer enjoys that book and plans a 3 generation hold on it.

The allure of the old label and the fact that is ACTUALLY IS a 9.8...not these gift 9.8s I see these days.

Allure or no allure, as more 9,8's pop up all 9.8's are going to be devalued simply due to increasing availability. the general public doesnt chase the quality of the grade the general public simply chases the grade itself.
