Bought (obviously) fake Moebius art on CAF?

Hi,

 

Last month I bought an artwork sketch (supposedly by Moebius) on CAF from another member.

However just today I received a comment on my piece linking to this site.

So it seems fairly clear that my artwork is fake.

The seller appears to be a decent guy. He is in France, I am in Germany

 

The payment was done by Bank Transfer (within Europe)

 

Before the transaction he has shown me a receipt from the Belgian Auction House "Gallerie Moderne" where he bought the item from fairly recently (sold as original Moebius art).

 

I have contacted the seller and am awaiting his response.

 

What do you guys make of this?

What are my options?

sorry to hear this! Many of these would easily have fooled me, and I am in the market for a Moebius as well. I hope it works out for you. The seller should have a fair shot at gettnig a refund from the Gallery I would think.
