Can Marvel/Disney have a Miles Morales Spider-Man in their movies?

I have no clue what Marvel can use in their films. But with Miles coming over to the proper 616 universe does that open the door for Disney? Perhaps Peter never comes back and Miles becomes the 616 Spider-man?

I would suspect not. I am sure it is not just Peter Parker that is licensed, but really the Spider-man brand if you will.

 

Yep, Peter Parker is just one of the characters under the Sony "umbrella", the Spider-Man name and everything to do with it is under Sony's control in regards to the movies.

I don't know... it could always be a grey area...

 

However, I am very glad I recently picked up 10 copies of his 1st appearance for less than a $20 shipped. I like the character and might even slab a few.
