Hey Guys,

 

I have posted in another forum, asking whether I should remove staples and/or tape (the overwhelming majority rules that I should leave tape to professionals)...

 

I wanted to see what you guys think it would grade, in its current condition (no staples/tape removed), whether the staples/tape would be considered restoration, and what you guys think its ballpark value would be.

I guess that depends on why they're there. If they weren't, would the cover actually be detached? Sometimes people added tape and staples thinking they added structural strength.

Thank you for the response...it does appear that it would be detached, if not for the staples.

I feel it's 1.5 at best with amatuer restoration, but I don't know if they'd give a purple label for a book at this level

As long as the tape isnt archival tape. It's a blue label.

Thanks, man. Is there any sure-fire way, besides submitting it, to see if it is Archival/Non-Archival?? I am not even sure what the difference is, to be honest with you...
