There is a spine roll but that should press out. Cover is attached. Very nice looking in hand, minus the dirt around the edges. I have it around a 2.0. What do you guys think?

The stain brings down the grade but I have to take into account no corners or pieces out of the edges.

I was lucky enough to pry this out of Youmechoose's hands. Thanks Jason for selling it to me.

 

In hand it looks nicer than any of the posted photos. And I am amazed that the the cover & cf are still truly attached (rare for an early Archie). Page quality is nice too.

 

I own an Archie 2 CGC 2.0 so I was able to do a side by side comparison and the #3 is much better.

 

So, when I first saw the photos in this thread I was thinking 2.0-2.5, but now in hand I'm upping it to 2.5-3.0. If some of the soiling can be removed thru dry cleaning, then a 3.5 is not out of the question.

 

I'll be sending it in for pressing & grading so I'll let you know in a couple months what it ends up as.
