I posted this link in another thread about Kirby months ago but no harm in posting it again.

This book is a great read for the Kirby fan. It's a bit academic but that's a good thing. An in depth analysis of the fourth world is something I dreamed of reading about. Also, a great analysis on the the who did what debate regarding Jack and Stan. Anyways, I post this here because I think you guys would really enjoy it.

New Jack Kirby Collector came out this week:

:o Awesome...! Are these regular magazines, or oversized (like a treasury)? I haven't bought a copy in years, but I seem to remember them going to a larger format at some point.

And...just my luck...I'm bogged down this week and can't get to a comics store... :frustrated:

Thanks for posting this, I will get out to pick one up!

I consciously avoided reading any Fourth World stuff until I obtained the entire Opus. Only then did I read it, as recommended, in chronological order.

I liked it, but I think I read them too quickly, excited as I was to have that new avalanche of Kirby. I enjoy them more on re-readings. Perhaps I wasn't grasping everything the first time!

Now seriously, if they can pull of a Guardians of The Galaxy film, they should be able to make a New Gods flick. Just saying.

Agreed...in the meantime, we still have Masters of the Universe:

MOTU and Kirby (4th World, too!)

I read somewhere that Jack (like many of us, I'm sure) saw reflections of his Fourth World in the original Star Wars trilogy , too...

I think my Forever People color guide is pictured in that new issue.

I'm trying to confirm it.

There's one in there from Forever People #9

Yep.

It's been hanging in my comic room since 2010. (shrug)

Very cool...could you post a picture of it? No worries, of course, if you'd rather not...
