GRADE IN - PGM Strange Tales 142

Hi, all. Thoughts on the ST 142 below? Fairly recent acquisition here for me. I got the seller down some but not quite as much as I liked, though enough for me to pull the trigger. Those spine breaks very harmful to the grade?

Beautiful book! There appears to be a little bit of impact damage on the front cover along the top RHS from what I can see. There are only a few spine ticks and some minor corner abrasions. I'm thinking 9.0 but I am a little concerned about the colour on the front cover? Is that scanner light "feed back"? Or is the black fading?

The black is fading a bit. This is one of those cases where I wish that lying could make something true. "No, no, it's not fading, see...it's just glare, yeah, glare!"

Was bought as a 9.2. Had a press, went to CGC, came back as...9.2.
