R.I.P. Nick Cardy - Celebrate his work!

All of my National Comics are slabbed but I love seeing his name on those labels to remind me how long he has treated us to his artistry. I think his first work in National was #6 which has got to be pretty close to his earliest published work. Looking at GCD, there were a few earlier. I also found an early Quicksilver splash from an issue.

His signature looked similar to Neal Adams' signature!

 

I didn't realize that he was passed away recently. I used to read most of the comic books when he drew them back in 70's. I will always miss him. RIP Nick.
