Possible AF 15 & JIM 84 scam?

OK. Got an email response from Doug Schmell (Pedigree Comics) on the JIM 84 SS 9.4. The listing of this book is a total scam. Doug still has the book in his possession as it is being paid off.

 

Everyone pile on and report this listing to eBay:

While we are at it - I think we can now safely assume the listing for the AF 15 is fraudulent as well:

Rather than just reporting this to Ebay and letting the guy do this another time I would hope the purchase would go through (And the buyer get the money back of course). I hope some guys get some years in jail for stuff like this... otherwise we will see more and more of this until it is almost impossible to trade online.

I've never talked to anyone that has been scammed for really BIG bucks. Nor do I remember any threads about this. IF you read Paypal's terms and eBay's Buyer protection terms, I think it very likely a buyer is on their own with purchases that exceed $10K. and used Paypal.

 

One of the conditions of Buyer Protection is that "the item was paid for in a single payment". But Paypal has a 10K transaction limit. Buy something over 10K you have to make it two or more transactions. Both the AF 15 and the JIM 84 are bid past 10K now. So unless a seller takes Visa/MC and your card has a limit above 10k, by the rules I think you risk getting stiffed.

That seller listed that same AF15 in an earlier auction. It looks like it was in a blue label CGC slab at the time. Conveniently scanned with the front label hidden but claims it was an 8.0, (complete with a mysterious moving bag and board). It looks like he removed it for the other listings and definitely had the color retouched.
