Is this some sort of accounting joke I don't get? Greggy, do you get this? confused.gif

Well actually, to be precise, this is an example of Accrual Based Accounting Humor:

With the accrual method, you record income when the sale occurs (999), not necessarily when you receive payment (333). You record an expense when you receive goods or services, even though you may not pay for them until later. (666)

Yeah, well I figured that.....your Canadian!

Also, if you're going to work off the assumption that neither revenue nor expenses are recognized until the cash associated with them actually is received, how are you ever going to get work writing for annual reports?

RECENTLY-HEARD CONVERSATION OVERHEARD IN GREGGY'S S&M CHAMBER:

Greggy: "Looks like trouble down at the bank! That teller just changed those very valuable animal pelts for our stupid Canadian currency!

RedHook: "Oh my gosh! Looks like a job for... 'The Accountables!'"

Greggy: "Right! Form of... a calculator!"

RedHook: "Form of... a pocket protector!"

Greggy: "blush.gif"

And together they spring into action! Well, actually, they both just lay there...

We call that the Hook clause. We could also give someone an associate producer credit. 27_laughing.gif
