Hello, I'm new. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get a commission or sketch by Kerry Gammill without going to a convention? I love his superman but am unable to attend any conventions, due to my responsibilities as a parent to a new born.

Ok guys I've sent him emails, Facebook's messages and nothing. I'm trying to collect a commission, or con sketch from all my favorite superman artists from when I was a kid. I have an ordway, a grummett, a jurgens, and I have bob mcleod working on one at this moment. If anyone is going to a con in Texas is there anyway someone could get one for me. Ill make sure you havethe money ahead a time.

For a while now, I have been trying to get him via email and messaging via Facebook to do a commission - and no response. However, if you request him to be a FB friend, he will accept...Go figure.

Some people (and artists are people) are just horrible with email. Hope you can find someone to help you out with an in-person meeting.

 

And if not, kids grow up and LOVE cons. They get to dress up and be the center of attention. So you'll have plenty of time to track the guy down at a show ...

My advice is to see what conventions he will be at and then ask for help on the boards in getting a commission from those shows. Make a post a few weeks before the show and you may find someone to help you. Welcome to the boards, and if you post and develop a positive identity here you are more likely to get the assistance you seek.

An alternative would be to send an email or message offering him an extraordinary amount of money for a piece. I bet he would respond to that!

I'm going to Space City Con (Jan) and Comicpalooza (May) if those are any help. I saw Kerry in Dallas this year and he was very friendly.
