Book #1

Sinister House of Secret Love #4 CGC 9.4 OFF-WHITE $150

Way less than what I paid. Beautiful book. Strong centering on a book from an era with some historically bad centering issues. 2nd highest grade on census.

Wow. Cool cover on Secret House of Love - never seen that one. GLWTS - woman in white books!

Yeah ... me too! Didn`t know DC had publish that title like this. Must be a little-known low-run, isn't it? The white cover looks sharp.

In the 70s DC jumped on the gothic horror revival (in TV, books, comics, etc). They published a few short run titles like Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love and Sinister House of Secret Love. They all had the same theme, female lead in peril, some sort of manor or castle, and a potentially supernatural threat...

The Lady in White motif was present thru many of these books as well as in DC's more mainstream horror books. I collected them all over the last year.

Here's a shot of the collection before it was broken up...
