I finally lucked into one! Anyone have an idea on the value of this? There's a copy on ebay for $650 for what that's worth... https://www.ebay.com/itm/174067746920 It's certainly rare and much rarer than it seems. It went through at least 31 printings so you see what look to be copies fairly often but they are not this first print with the hand stamped price and the Rinehart colophon on the copyright page. Also sellers mislabel the second printing as the first because it has no printing listing on the copyright page but the second print does not have the Rinehart colophon and it has a machine printed price on the cover. Popular Post BanjerD
Here's my Golden Age Peanuts run thus far. I will be looking to upgrade a couple books going forward, especially the Peanuts one-shot and the TT188. Surfing Alien
Picked up an upgrade of the 1st edition, 1st printing of Snoopy. I snapped the copyright page for reference for anyone who might want to know what differentiates it from the dozens of printings it went through. It's gotta have the Rinehart "R". batman_fan, Ricksneatstuff, BanjerD and 1 other
Popular Post BanjerD
Before and after.... at some point the upgrade sickness must end, yes? I need a mid-grade TT186 and a better Peanuts 1953 one-off. 143ksk, wolverine180, batman_fan and 2 others

Popular Post Surfing Alien
Just posted these in the paperback thread but figured I'd drop them here for fun. Group shot of some of my 1st Edition 1st Prints of the original series from Rinehart. Not an easy run to assemble in 1st prints. Readcomix
Going to bump this with an fyi about a Silver Age book because those who would be most interested are mostly here. I was reading the last issue of the Dell run (#12, 1962) and the last story turned out to be the origin of Snoopy.

Every time I look at that cover, all I can think about is that from the positioning, that swing is going to clock him in the head!
