SW3D -Yeah I do have to say that is one of my favorite covers and not just from this Set but of all. Something about his art both here and in New Mutants as well was always eye catching and you certainly are right. He does have a specific style that to me is amazing. As for this one I loved how he portrayed the Demon Bear in the back ground like that. Something about it just shows the eminient danger the escapee is in.

Anyways yes this year is a big year for both me and the Force as well as a few other Sets. I'll probably write up one of those 2014 goal Journals as well but for the most part at this very moment I have 10 issues spread between Capullo, Mark Miller, and Marat Mychaels in for grading sitting at verified for Signature Series which just finished up over at CCS but hopefully all goes well there. I do plan to get a few more things signed by Jim Cheung this year and hopefully a few signed by Liefeld as well.

As for Bill S. he will be at the Dallas Sci-Fi Expo next month. Hopefully I can get up there and get a few more sig's from him as well again.

And no issues with jumping in on me or any other set I'm going for. Always welcoming the challenge for me and hopefully all goes well with your set. Maybe make an Angela Set request and combine her appearances from Image as well as Marvel?

Hey Sean, HNY!

I know you have a lot of OAKs and neat treasures.

You should rename your entire collection, "Land of a Thousand Oaks!"

That Russ Heath sig is historic! How did you obtain the book?

Thanks for sharing the other two beauties.

I know you have more oaks... by all means keep showering us with them... You know we love that... Ogling someone else's treasures.

Thanks for sharing!

BTW: Shall I rename this thread, "The OAK Room?"

Damn! You know me too well! But I guess I've broadcasted it so much on the radio that it is so blatantly obvious!

I visited your thread and I am in Awe! Simply flabbergasted by the beauty of all these Golden Age comics I have always relished, marveled, and dreamed about as a child. You have collected for well over 60 years and I have for about 35 years. You have me beat by 25 years plus! There are so many GA comic titles I would love to read it would take considerable effort and time to discuss.

I'm just going to say, "We're not worthy!"

Incredible stuff Marty... simply incredible!

Could you adopt me?

I think the OAK Room would be a great re-name! The only thing you have to remember when you show them, is that it sometimes gives folks the impetus to go make their own, and un-OAK it! :)

I got the Heath book from my LCS, the Bookery, in Fairborn OH. One of the best comic retailers in the world. I can't remember where Heath showed up, maybe ECCC, but one of my homies hooked me up.

I'll drop in some more OAKs later. I like this thread!

I agree with you... there is always a danger of exposing an OAK and having others jump in and get copies graded... but where is the fun in keeping an OAK a secret?

Glad u like the thread! I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your OAKs.
