Only way I was able to buy was to scour the leftovers. I've still managed to find some goodies, but my targets aren't as focused as yours. Lloyd's threads are worth the time simply for the learning experience, even if they've already been decimated. I'm sure you already figured that out. I've actually missed out on a Lloyd jewel and found one later, since I now knew to look. GOD BLESS ...

That's what I do as well. This thread and several of the sales threads have been very educational. Books I've seen in this thread and in Lloyd's and other sales threads that I've missed out on get added to my want list. I've managed to find a few a them for sale in other venues later.

You bought one from me about a month ago (Morton Cooper?)! I don't have many Pulps though. Also sold a sleaze paperback to a different Board member a couple of weeks ago. I've been waiting for photos to appear!

This one. I felt it was nicer than the grade. I was very happy. The gal on the cover reminded me of a gal I was enamored with back in the day. GOD BLESS ...

Thanks fellas, it's Lowell, but no sweat, I've been having my name mangled since Kindergarten   Part of the price of having a last name for a first name But over the years I've gone from hating my name as a little kid because it was different to appreciating it as I grow older because it is different

I do try to give some juicy description to the stuff I list here because I know the information on pb's is pretty sparse. It's out in the world but spread very thinly so I give some digestible chunks that, hopefully, make them even more compelling than the awesome covers

Here's a couple of Friday Fun pieces

 

Lust For Love by Florence Stonebraker. Intimate Novels No. 16  This Digest cover art of a red-headed lush by Owen Kampen (probably his wife ) was re-purposed later on a Beacon Book, B141 The Love Peddler, like most Universal Publishing covers

 

Some more UK goodness. Although I rate the Heade covers for the early Hank Janson books the highest, these 1964 series titles by Compact Books are pretty cool also, as well as the later Gold Star Books (some with Maguire and Harry Barton covers which I've shown/sold on the boards)

George Ziel cover art has that effect. He was such an expressive artist and his wimmen were incredible even when somewhat impressionistic

I re-read most of Howard's output in those lush, illustrated volumes from Wandering Star. It had been 50 years for me, and it was like I never read them at all ... WAY better than I remembered. I did the same with Lovecraft and B&N's deluxe edition.  GOD BLESS ...
