Heh, I was a mere spectator on that one - I do have it on the list after seeing it in your last sale, though.  I love the cover but have the feeling my JD/Narcotics collection is going to be of the rough and tumble variety since condition doesn't seem to bother me much on those.

Another from the box I got from Steve.  This book looks like one that's super tough to find a nice cut on.  Massively thick - not a read on a lark affair. I've seen a guess on the cover artist of Barye, but I don't think so.

Székely is better known for his screenplays than his two novels.

Beautiful art is by Griffith Foxley not Barye. All fat books are tough in grade. Still relatively common. Not rare like Vera

My late phone somehow found it's way into my swimming pool.  My new phone has a blistering 50mp camera, so now I can take clearer photos while still showing I don't know how lighting works.  I remember buying a 5mp camera years ago for more than this phone cost, starting to feel old

Yes, the picture looks like the nicest copy I've ever seen, hence the bomb I dropped.  Hopefully it lives up to the billing as the seller is all over the place and one low res pic of the front has often told a false tale with him

Sadly it is peeling, especially on spine

It had globe end written on the tag, wasnt sure what that meant till i opened it.

It may not exist without peeling lamination. It is incredibly rare to have as much as this one does. Avon gave up on lamination for years after experimenting with this inferior product on the first prints of their first couple of books. Unlike Pocket Books' lamination, which they were obviously trying to imitate, this gossamer thin c*r*a*p peels if you stare at it hard
