All of the stabbed paperbacks shown are listed in Overstreet  and are all comic content, as far as I know.  What they are not is any suggestion that more general paperback slabbing  will start any time soon

They would certainly need to make them more size specific. I guarantee you, they're looking into it ... at least on some levels. It would be foolish not to. GOD BLESS ...

Came across this website while hunting for books. I don't have any affiliation.

Their inventory doesn't cover my collecting interests, but they have a bunch of Dell, Avon, and other publishers for around $5 a book. I figured some of you might be interested!

It's like ringing the dinner bell, posting a link like that.  :insane:

Thanks for the link, I picked out a handful. Good prices and fast secure shipping!

OK, I received a lot of books since I started my never-ending comic sales thread. Catch-up time:

Some early and later ACE doubles

ACE D-16 Germinie:Crime D'Amour.jpeg

Voted worst cover art in the history of early paperbacks by me. Great first cover but whoever drew this really phoned it in!

Nice pickups!  Ace Doubles are addictive.  :headbang:

Just look at my tragic example.

:tonofbricks:

You've been knocking out an impressive goal!

When I really started collecting paperbacks about 8 years ago (I dabbled over the decades after my revelation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs F-series books, but not serious collecting until recently), I was intent on collecting runs of Ace, Monarch, Avon, Popular Library, etc.  Until one day, I started to realize just how many books that was and lost my nerve.

By contrast, you're crushing it, pal! :headbang:

What the heck is this? A sequel to The Murders in the Rue Morgue?

I know the 361 is much more collectible, but I'd pick this cover first.

The cover of the first printing reminds me of a circus or carnival set black and white killer ape or gorilla movie they used to show in the creature features - I'm not sure which one.

I agree.  I've actually never seen this cover before.  My copy is the earlier printing.

Thanks for sharing, Pat!  :headbang:
