The fun thing about nice display cases is just displaying random themes

That Black Opium looks heart wrenchingly nice :cloud9: Your shelf displays help to highlight the target books. GOD BLESS ...

Other than the red stripe (distributor's ink?) on the cover, it's in better shape than my other copy.

Also, if there is ANYBODY on this thread who would pass this one by at $4 when already ordering stuff from MCS so there wasn't even shipping to consider, I don't know who it would be.

Fantastic grab Eric ^^ Looks more like a roller mark of some kind from printing but not too distracting :takeit:

In a whole week of travel covering the better part of a few different states, I only got the chance to hop in a single flea market today.  I actually found the most vintage pbs from my collecting area in a single spot by far.

The best part was the one to five dollar price range.  The worst part is everything was low, low grade.

Amazingly, I didn't walk with much, as time was of the essence, but it was still cool to see spinner racks full of pbs and just to know I can find them out there in the wild in numbers once in a long while.

Been a while since I bought something in the wild, but visiting our daughter at UF in Gainesville and she took me to a little hole in the wall book and vinyl store she found.

They didn't have a whole lot of older pbs but these three were cool enough for me to drop a couple bucks to support the place. It's a tough biz and I'll always buy something if I can

Judy LOVES CS Lewis. Are there any PB's that are more coveted or important with collectors? Money is always tight, so buying an author's entire canon isn't really an option anymore. GOD BLESS ...

That whole set of Narnia pbs by Puffin are very charming editions. This one is a second print and not too expensive it seems. I'd have to dig to see what a set of first printings go for but I wouldn't mind putting one together

Nice pickups, John.  I don't think I'd seen that top Dell Hammett before.  Bodies in Bedlam is my fave of the three,  I like dude's feet up on the bed and seeing the photo and the back of this hat.  A neat take on the babe on the bed cover.

These two came in today.  A sulky blonde on this Fletcher Flora (artist unknown?)

and a jazz-themed novel I'm not familiar with, maybe a take on Jelly Roll Morton lore, Owen Kampen art.

Pulp Covers has it attributed to George Ziel, but I'm not convinced. Not to say it couldn't be, there's some elements there for sure. It's not on Lynn Munroe's Ziel checklist, which he's pretty good at.
