Thanks for the explanation! I was wondering about this last year.

I don't see the ability to move art to the Lowry...do I need to re-upload it?

I re-uploaded mine, with new file names so it wouldn't overwrite my old stuff.

Very cool!

This year was pretty easy for me to select my 5 favorites, which were:

Cover - Mind MGMT 12 Cover - This is the cover that ends the 1st epic arc in this modern classic. If you are not reading Mind MGMT you're doing yourself a disservice!

Cover - Uncanny X-Force 20 - Venom Variant by Paul Renaud. There were some hits and misses on the month of Venom Variants, but IMO this one is the best of the bunch. Great tone and I just love Psylocke's pose.

Interior Page - Invisibles vol1 #7 pg 24 - One of the best pages Jill Thompson has ever done IMO. The detail on the head and it's case. Plus the expression on Ragged Robyn's face... This one is just amazing IMO.

Splash - Invisibles Promo art by Paul Johnson - I didn't know where to put this one. But it just screams vintage Vertigo. Fell in love with this one as soon as it got to my house.

Commission - Custom Dust Cover for Mind MGMT Vol 1 by Matt Kindt - Everything I said above about Mind MGMT, plus a cool / unique idea to sell his products. I am hoping I can get one for each volume he does.

Nothing Epic like some of the guys on these boards, but :cloud9: for me

It was tough narrowing it down to five - I had numerous pieces that would probably have made my list in any other year (especially the McFarlane ASM 299 and Moore Walking Dead 19 covers). In the end, I figured I couldn't go far wrong with any of these, so here are my five - enjoy!

Dave Stevens - Alien Worlds #2 cover

Gil Kane & Tom Palmer - Tomb of Dracula #10 cover

John Romita, Mike Esposito & Tony Mortellaro - Amazing Spider-Man #125 cover

John Byrne & Terry Austin - Uncanny X-Men #109, p. 17

George Herriman - Krazy Kat Sunday (4/30/1916)

Thanks Bill (CAF) and Brian for putting this on. It helps remind me of all the money I spent in 2013. Here's to quality over quantity in 2014.

Published Cover:

Weird Mystery Tales 19 by Luis Dominguez 1974. A beautiful horror cover that has a little bit of everything. How could you resist picking this up off the stands? I saw this comic at a convention and just had to own the original.

Published Splash:

Marshal Law, issue 1, page 28 (Oct 1987) Kevin O'Neil at his best. I never thought that it would be possible to own this page but I do. Thanks (you know who you are). Will always remind me of a childhood comic that I shouldn't of been allowed to read.

Published Interior Art:

Power Man 24 page 16 Luke Cage & Black Goliath 1976. Pencils George Tuska and inks by Dave Hunt. Nothing sums up bronze age marvel comics like this page. Yet another page I longed for and now own. Sweet Jumpin Sister!!

http://cafurl.com?i=20748

Unpublished Convention Sketch:

Baby Nightcrawler by Skottie Young. There is a beauty in the simplicity of Skottie's art. This will be framed in my baby's room (due 6/11).

Unpublished Other:

Delphine by Richard Sala. Why don't you know who Richard Sala is??? He's amazing and he did this commission of his character Delphine for a Christmas present for my brother-in-law Matt. Don't you wish we were related?

Honorable Mention:

Baby Yaga convention sketch by Mike Mignola 01. Guess what? I now own an original Mike Mignola. This was a sketch that was then published in The Art of Hellboy so I really don't know where this belongs.

Thanks for looking and even if I don't win I know I've won your hearts.

This is what I like best of all the art I got last year:

Convention sketch: Hedvig Häggman-Sund - Sabrina Spellman and Salem in 1962. Hedvig's take on how my favorite witch and her familiar looked at their first appearance in October 1962.

Splash page: Eduardo Barreto - Robin Annual #6 - page 2-3. A two-page spread where Barreto excels in a painstakingly detailed depiction of the old west (from an unusual angle).

Commission: Jeff Shultz - Betty & Veronica as dragstrip girls. Mimicking the style of photographer David Perry, Jeff put the girls in authentic outfits from 1966 next to my neighbor's vintage slingshot dragster.

Cover: Jonas Darnell - Herman Hedning issue 4/2013. Probably the best cover Jonas has ever created. Beautiful cars at illegal speeds and lots of action and violence (in a good-natured way, of course).

Commission: Bill Galvan - The Black Canary #1 - Retro imaginary cover. Bill "recreates" the comic book that never was in a way that makes me really itch to be able to read it.

First time in! :wishluck:

Convention sketch: Skottie Young - Logan/Wolverine He eats baby variants for breakfast! Just a fun piece.

Pin Up: Ed McGuinness - Hope Summers - Marvel Legends - Blister Card Art Hope runs through desolation and destruction and into toy stores near you!

Interior page: Tim Sale - Spider-Man: Blue, Book One: My Funny Valentine, pg. 14 Spidery unmasks the Goblin! I'll admit this is one of the first pages that had me running to check the OA budget last year.

Commission: Seth Frail - From Marvel, With Love: James Bond and Black Widow by Seth Frail A highlight piece from a theme implemented this year featuring Marvel's lethal lady, The Black Widow and the world's foremost secret agent: Bond, James Bond.

Commission: Chris Ivy - Uncanny X-Men #167 - Modernized: Chris Ivy after Paul Smith - Chris's take on a classic Paul Smith cover, updated to reflect the current X-Universe.
