Can somebody tell a non dc new comic colleector what is special about this book?

 

It's KIRBY, baby! It's the most important Kirby book of ALL TIME (second only to Sandman #1)... or the Super Powers books.

 

If you can't find a copy for $1.28, $15.00 is a STEAL!!!!

 

 

(If anyone wants some of those Super Powers books, I've got sets available!) grin.gif

It's Kirby at his post -Marvel peak - DC basically allowed him to do whatever he wanted, and although he gradually became more and more indulgent and wayward, these early Fourth World comics are great stuff.

 

It was also in this very series that Jack Kirby introduced his rather cruel yet probably accurate Stan Lee parody, Funky Flashman. That alone is worth the price of admission.

 

Personally I think $15 is a little too high though. How much for all of 'em??
