Wonder if books coming in from Metro/CConnect have some influence on which way it goes hm

 

Do you mean does CGC grade books differently if they know they're coming from Metro/CC?

Graders do not have knowledge of where the books are coming from. So I don't see how that would be possible.

Then I prefer Board grading to CGC grading ;)

 

The grading done here on the boards is, obviously, only an exercise in proper grading techniques. As we all know, a book can not be 100% accurately graded based on a scan/ and or some pictures. In most cases a book needs to be in hand to accurately determine condition. And even then grading is subjective to a point. So many grades given here are modest because a huge facet of condition is $$$$$$, so it makes sense that people don't want to overshoot and instead are conservative in estimating grades.
