Comic Book Cleaning

31 posts in this topic

I've seen at least one thread on the topic here but am too lazy to go searching for it. It often involves using a special eraser like http://www.shopbrodart.com/supplies/cleaning/_/Sanford-Magic-Rub-Vinyl-Eraser/

I know Mike of Hero Restoration does dry cleaning, though I don't know what particular technique he uses.

A properly dry cleaned book is a series of steps to not only remove surface dirt but to add the gloss back to the areas cleaned.

Personally I would not use wonder bread based on you had no idea what kind of oils or chemicals you are introducing to the book.

I've always been leery of trying the Wonder Bread thing.

Remember the ads from a few years back?

"Ninety five percent fat free!"

By my figuring that means it's five percent pure fat.
