WHERE do you find your deals?

I haven't had the pleasure of buying any books via the boards here, but there is another collector's site that I frequent that I find some good deals at.

 

My main source is my LCS: Comic Quest in Evansville, IN. They have a large selection of $1/$2 books as well as they run some insane sales every couple months. I was able to score a copy of "Superman's Girlfriend, Lois Lane" #70 for $17, probably my best deal/find of last year.

I follow greggy around comic cons, knock him over after he leaves the con floor and run away with the books....

 

 

Now, if only he could grade and actually bought good Marvels

Something else I never do is go through the books and ask him how much for these. I will spend a couple hours digging and talkingto the person, being friendly and such. I've found that I get many better deals just from this

I've gotten deals on Craigslist and eBay and these boards. My most recent one was off a Facebook group for local sales. A digital yard sale type group. Which reminds me, I've also found deals at yard sales, and comic shops, particularly when they're closing down.

The boards are good as long as you aren't buying from the board flippers. They are the ones who buy here and then list it shortly after at it's new inflated price.
