I found this sketch on EBay

I found it "Interesting"

the auction begin at .99 cents and finish at 610.15

Now; I am not really sure what bring this price.

The artist? the character?

the fact that was done on bills?

Who was the buyer?

A signature/sketch collector or a money collector?

i'd say its pretty cool. very unique. by comic strip artist and writer of Popeye. the uncut sheet of bills is unique and rare also. its definitely an art piece. would i pay that much? no. but its cool.

Someone really like to over spend. its not the notes that have the value its just the sketch.

if those were star note and lower serial maybe close to $400

As for the sketch not what I am into. but for the note / bills. Looks like I need to send some uncut sheet in even more get a great sketch added then submit.

It is art not usually seen on an untraditional medium. I bid pretty heavily on the Stan Goldberg art done on $2 bill sheets. I think who ever commissioned these had a great idea.

[font:Book Antiqua]I found it, $565.00 not bad,

he really have an original idea

and is working very well for him...[/font]

I put in my max bid on the last day and someone wanted it more; now i'm focused on trying to get a commission from him but no replies from his website email and his name isn't on any of the NY conventions yet.
