Someone recommend I post this here to attract any interested parties. Hopefully if anyone out there is need of early ASM issues I can be of some assistance.

Bogus 1: Spamming your e-bay auctions of non-slabbed books with the term "cgc this!"

 

Bogus 2: Spamming your e-bay auctions by placing them in the Silver Age comics section of the board. I suggest YOU take a hike to the marketplace section.

Hey guys go easy on him there's nothing "bogus" about these auctions and there's nothing wrong with saying "CGC THIS" in an auction it's not like he's misrepresenting the books and saying they are CGC graded he's just saying theyre CGC quality books.

 

Second yes he did place it in the wrong section,but he didn't know about the market place boards all you had to do was tell him it was the wrong place to post these and direct him to the proper boards no need to be an hole.

I beg to differ. CGC this and other related bogus headings are the oldest ebay comics trick in the books. ANyone still using it is suspect. To be considered on the up and up a seller should avoid using that bogus headings.

 

Is he the same JP Staros who used to publish that comics investing magazine?

What all that means, in case you don't want to read it, is that its a giant pain in the @ss for those of us here on the board, the CGC board, to go searching for slabs and come up with [#@$%!!!].

If everyone put "CGC this" in their auctions, when I specifically search for CGC graded books, the list would come up at 20,000, not 2,000.

Click here:

 

Search Abuse - Keyword Spamming

 

Scroll down to the botttom and click on the link in "Report listing violations or problems with another eBay member."

 

Sign in.

 

Then paste the offending auction numbers in groups of ten or less into the text box.

 

Like this:

There IS something wrong with it, it's Keyword Spamming and it is against eBay rules. He is using the CGC name to sell his books without using their service. 893naughty-thumb.gif
