#1 preview was good. I didn't see the art as a problem.

I picked up a copy today to ad to my pile...my sub list has dropped to just Harby and X-O as I've run out of reading time the last few months....

Rai #2 has five different covers (4-June-2014 release):

There's only one 1:25 variant up for presale on FeeBay at the moment.

It's interesting there's a Mask-Cut-Up cover (Cover C).

 

We all liked the art in the #1 preview. Did anyone read it yet?

Artwork was fantastic.

The story was enough to pull me into issue #2.

 

I'm just thinking that I'm missing a ton of Rai background. Can anyone give a very brief Rai-history synopsis?

Actually, you're not missing any Rai background.

 

The only Rai story that Valiant has produced in the new line is Rai #1.

 

Valiant has been using a lot of the "core concepts" from the original Valiant line (pre-crash, 1991-1992),

but everything is subject to change in this version of the Valiant universe.

The print run on VEIs second prints are so small, they probably do print them ahead of time. Based on input from Diamond of course. Diamond continues to get re-orders on a book after the order deadline, but before the book hits the stands. So publishers know if their over allotment is getting eaten into.

Honestly get a little tired of the constant musings to his "god".

But I'll check #3 out.

#3 started pretty blah, but was really solid by the ending.

By the last page, I was hoping #4 was out.
