Cole Schave collection: face jobs?

Funny how some people think that others are wasting their time on the internet - and then come on the internet to say that. lol

Or repeatedly tell others that they are beating a dead horse. :insane:

On a more interesting note - the Caps lock works on my keyboard.

I can think of at least 53,986 ways someone can waste time on the Internet.

Thinking isn't your strength.

Is listing all those ways on that list, or is that #53,987?

Holy Cow. I can't believe what this thread has devolved in to.

Some of you guys can beat this dead horse until the bones are powderized, and it is not going to change another thing.

Look, no one did this to books on purpose. No one's goal was to shrink books. Not Doug's. Not Matt's. It was a mistake. You brought it to everyone's attention. The mistake has been rectified. CGC has acknowledged the problem and adjusted their policy on the books. That's it. End of story.

Its time to get over it.

Missed that post, maybe someone can quote it. :wishluck:

Will there be a sticky stating how Schave'd books are to be retrieved and corrected? Will CGC be cutting checks if the 'light press' correction treatment doesn't correct it? Can folks opt for a simple regrading and decline the treatment?

The sticky will probably provide those answers, whenever it goes up. Untill then..?

Didn't Matt and Paul already address all of these things?

They are aware that the covers shrank.

They have posted that covers can shrink for various reasons.

They have stated that the Schave books were not downgraded because the books were graded consistently with CGC's grading standards.

As I said in the earlier post, we've already made strides to eliminate any possibility of shrinkage in the future. This should be a goal for everyone who presses books right now.

I'm not sure what else you're looking for?

(shrug)

This epitomizes the entire thread. I'm done with it.

I hope you boys enjoy wasting hundreds of hours of your time.

Looks like the CGC-pressed "1197+1" series of books don't exhibit the same degree of Costanza Cover Shrinkage (CCS) as the original series, guess there's no humidity or natural cover shrinkage in those books. :golfclap:
