NEW EBAY LISTINGS FEATURING GIBBONS WATCHMEN COLOR COVER AND LEMIRE SUPERMAN JLA

Hey folks,

 

While many people are selling to make money for the upcoming Heritage auction, I am selling to raise funds to... wait for it... pay my taxes!!! Exciting, I know.

 

So my most recent ebay auctions have just been posted starting at a penny with NO RESERVE!!!

 

These auctions feature three two page lots of the Original Justice League run my Luke McDonnell.

 

Also listed is a very nice Adventures of Superman page by the amazingly talented Jeff Lemire of Sweet Tooth and Trillium

 

And lastly, a beautiful HAND COLORED guide for The Comic Journal cover that featured the Watchmen. And it's not just the color guide. Also included is the production cover that has ADDITIONAL penciling and inking again by Dave Gibbons himself. An amazing piece since all coloring on Watchmen was done by John Higgins, this is a very rare item. Have a look.

So maybe posting a bunch of eBay auctions to end on the weekend of the Heritage auction was a dumb idea as prices on these are sitting in position for pages to be had for incredibly low amounts. Or maybe people were shut out of the Heritage winnings (myself included... $4K short on the DKR page) and have some extra money for great deals.

 

Firstly are the three TWO page Justice League lots. From the original run. 30 years old. One of the lots is sitting at $20 and two of them hovering around $10.

Next is a Jeff Lemire Adventures of Superman page which is sitting at $31 !!! These pages are on Cadence and have sold for $350.

And Lastly a Watchmen Cover Colour Guide. The only one coloured by Dave Gibbons himself accompanied by a production copy that he did a tiny amount of additional inking and shading with duo tone. The series guides coloured by Higgins went in the thousand's and one is currently on ebay for $3500. This one is currently under $300!!!
