What was the first Superman non comic magazine cover?

I just acquired this and I was wondering if this 1940 cover is the first. Does anybody else know of any earlier than this?

Nothing earlier as a cover feature that I'm aware of.

One earlier instance of "major" mainstream coverage I can think of is the Sept 11, 1939 issue of Time which has a few paragraph's worth of coverage on Superman's success and also notably contains an early "A kid tried to imitate Superman and jumped off a roof" report. No Supes cover, though.

Also not a cover, but the relatively famous Sept 21, 1941 "Rise of Superman Inc" Saturday Evening Post article is relatively lengthy and contains some GREAT info and pics. This one's worth having if you're a big Supes collector.
