Popular Post wpbooks01
Never really explored this thread before. Can't really say why, but I tend to just hang out in the Underground Comix and magazine forum. Recently excavated a batch of around 35 EC's I picked up from the late 70's to the mid 80's, put them in a closet and then sort of piled stuff over them where they couldn't be reached for a few decades, until a few months ago when I finally decided to take a day and dig them out. Here is an Annual I was given when I bought a near complete run of W S-F back around 1984 from an ad in the Boston Phoenix. The seller thought the annual was incomplete so he just included it in the batch. Eventually I DID count the pages and sure enough there were 128, as there ought to have been.....not a great condition copy, but for the price I paid, I can live with the tape repair along the spine and that ugly chipping at the edges....(sorry for the low light and poor definition...my tablet camera is old and my light in the living room is low wattage..not real good for this kind of thing) KirbyJack, Jayman, vheflin and 3 others
Popular Post wpbooks01
My only complete EC Run.....The EC Classics was purchased around 1974 at a con for $8 IIRC, and came with one pair of glasses, popped out and retro-fixed, if you will. The #2 was bought at a store, somewhere in Boston or maybe Eastern MA around 1983. Complete unused set of glasses was detached from the comic, and laid in at the front. I recall paying $25 for the comic book, which may have been my most expensive purchase at the time.....but those glasses really sucked me in..... vheflin, KirbyJack, vaultkeeper and 6 others

Also have the Cuff links and the Lapel pin. SCORE! Those are so tough to find. I have only seen just one charm bracelet. The key chain is just about as hard. At one time I had 2 sets of cuff links. Right now you and I are in the same place. KirbyJack

I seem to recall running into you briefly at Kayo one time back then. You were extolling the virtues of Russ Cochran auction catalogs. I think I have a stronger recollection of a Thunda you might have posted on Gormuu's site once ... but like my typing my memory's not always perfect! wpbooks01 and KirbyJack

While I do not recall ever having a conversation with anybody about Cochran's auction catalogs, I do have the custom bound 2 volume set of Cochran's Graphic Gallery that he collected in hardcover. Could have been that as the topic of our discussion? Perhaps we did meet at Kayo, but any memory is vague at this point, in all honesty, though I'd guess it was when they were doing their big sale when they purported to be closing the doors, a few years ago. Actually since the early 90's that Thun'da was ensconced with the batch of ECs in my closet. I may have mentioned having a copy, but I could not lay my hands on it until very recently. Thus, while not EC, certainly EC adjacent, no? Here 'tis: sfcityduck, Jayman, vaultkeeper and 1 other
