QUESTION FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA FANS

Howdy all,

 

I'm looking for folks who have read pretty much everything Captain America related since the early 1990's.

 

A friend of mine wants to know if there has been any story or stories about Cap where he is transformed back into the skinny runt he was before the Supersoldier serum

 

I've read a lot of GA Cap, and pretty much everything from Avengers 4 up to the start of the 90's, and don't recall any occasion where he was transformed back into pre-serum Steve Rogers.

 

SO!

 

Off to ask the pros in Copper and Modern.

 

Can anyone point me to such a storyline? Doesn't have to be canon, a good issue of What If or other elseworlds style story would do nicely too.

 

Posting this in Modern also, I'll check both threads occasionally.

A poster over in Modern says he believes this has happened recently, possibly in the Brubaker run

 

Any Brubaker fans out there to help pin this down?

He also turned back into the skinny kid in #355.

 

 

 

He needed to infiltrate a group preying on at risk teenagers - runaways and the like - so Sersi cast a spell on him that reverted him to his own 98 pound weakling teenage form. The story is continued in #356.

 

These issues also happen to feature some of the worst art I have ever seen. There was some sort of major deadline crisis, and this was during the period where Marvel never missed a deadline for any reason. So Al Milgrom drew #356 in like three days. He's far from the most exciting artist even when he has proper time, so if you can imagine a massively rushed and completely tossed together at the last second job by Al Milgrom, you can start to guess how bad the art is.
