Phoenix Comic Con, May 28-31, 2015

I seem to remember someone telling me that they had issues with this particular event and have since stopped coming. I don't know the details or whether the story is true. They have not had a presence at this show the last 3 years so there might be some truth to that.

I'm moving to Phoenix the weekend of the show, but sadly I won't be able to attend. :sorry:

then why bother moving at all? fail.

This looks like a very week show

Considering it's the third major show in six months here, it looks like the heavy-hitter guests might b being diluted a bit.

Amazing Con in January was much MUCH better than this coming Con in terms of guests IMO.

It's annual. (thumbs u

lol

I'm feeling a bit burned by this show. The guest list is underwhelming, last year they cut the number of extra exhibitor badges that dealers could buy; this year, the general badge prices went up, kids are now $10 each, and booth prices for next year are going up approximately 30% :ohnoez: I'm thinking going forward, I'd rather attend the show than set up as a dealer.

What about Ed? :o

What about me? :banana::banana::banana:

It is still easier and about the same cost overall for me to continue to do the local conventions so I am in for next year as well as this year although the per booth increase is actually just under 50% so I need to sell lots of books to make this work going forward.

I will have three full booths jammed full of $1 books up to thousands of dollars per book. I have too many books to sell yet and each year my time for selling gets shorter (turn 65 this year) so options are limited.

I am hoping to see lots of buyers this year. I understand that there are no huge names as they have had recently and not a lot of comics dealers attend; however, I put a ton of time into this show and hope local buyers can appreciate that. I will have one of my best selections of books ever (in my opinion).

Want lists are always appreciated and I will hold books until the begins (or maybe a little longer if you have purchased previously).

I agree with jcjames, Ed Robertson is one of the key reasons why id go. If I go its for one day, still on the fence about the 6 hr drive each way. I might just rely on friends to get books done and save my cash for SDCC. We will see...
