BOOT
Here's a copy of the Special Olympics Coaches Manual, as listed by Bo Hogg... Over 180 pages, squarebound giant, all color. Features unlisted Superman story, as well as many famous sports personalities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Julius Erving, Pele, etc., etc.
BOOT
Here is A Medal For Bowzer, also from Bo Hogg's list, a pro-animal experimentation comic book from Will Eisner. One copy with black and red printing. Another copy (not mine) with yellow and blue ink also... Also another Eisner rarity. But since it's from around 1950, it would fall within the Golden Age... BOOT
Three promotional "hero" comics, including "Microsoft Man". Only copies of any of these I've ever seen. No date on Microsoft Man - must be early in their history, though..

RockMyAmadeus
Why is the nun tossing away that joint? That cover is a treasure trove if weirdness. For example...why is there a fat, shoeless hillbilly ghost standing at the doorway? Why are the nun's legs cut off about midway up her calves? Is she a ghost, too, drifting up from below the floor? Why is she looking up at the back of the room? Why are the students sitting in theatre style seats? Why is that poor blonde girl literally smashed, Southwest Airlines style, into the row in front of her?

electricprune
I am obsessed with rare comics and since the rarest of the rare are mostly golden age, that is what I mostly collect. I have a great collection of rare stuff. I have been collecting rarities for 20 years. But I want to know what are the rarest non golden age. This is something that I am not as familiar with. Here is my top ten list I have compiled. 8. Archie's madhouse 22 15 cent variant Never seen one Here you go Steve, didn't you find one of these in a random long box in Chicago last year? 143ksk
I wish... Actually this one came out of an Archie lot I bought on the boards. I think I paid about $15 for the lot. I didn't notice it was the variant until it arrived.

Shrevvy
Chaos Comics produced several "Octagon Editions" in the 1990s/early2000s. The print run was 8 copies and each cover was an original piece of art. The covers were black with the sketches done in silver ink. I have all 8 of an unreleased Octagon edition that was scheduled to be released, but the company went bankrupt first. Not mine, but here is an eBay link. You don't see them up for sale often. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Purgatori-The-Vampires-Myth-1-Octagon-Edition-CGC-9-6-Chaos-Comics-8-96-/301190918453?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item462060b135&nma=true&si=EzW9w43R51A%252FBsHIOAi5G1Pbuts%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

rjpb
1964 Youth In The Ghetto. Comic book style "Harlem Youth Report" #5 Awesome! I love the homage to the people finger covers found that DC was known for. With a bit of pre-code hypo cover imagery to top it off. If I still actively collected oddball comics, this would go on the want list for sure - though part of the reason I stopped was the insane difficulty of finding much of the stuff.
