I ordered #2 from my usual online comic store but missed out on #1. I'm hoping to find it at a local store though. I agree, it's a great movie so I have to get the comics too.

Loved the first issue, continues after the movie and the art style suits it very well IMO. Had a few good chuckles, which is really what it's all about.

The first issue was great - it was fun, the characters are written well and it was really a pleasant surprise. I totally dig it.

I've seen the movie at least 50 times, and the book has the characters right and the tone is perfect. I'm in for the long haul. The Wang joke would have worked better, if the demon did not acknowledge it.

Knowing Jack Burton's accent, speed and expressions gives the text life that would otherwise be difficult to establish.

On one hand its great to read those classic movie lines but it also seems like it's trying to hard to rekindle the magic. So far I am ambivalent on this title.
