PGM Jimmy Olsen 134 some more staining

6 posts in this topic

CGC deducts heavily for stains but I would not go as far to say that there is a set percentage as stains can vary in quantity and how bad the stain is visually. Generally CGC hammers stains period!

I would think no more than 4.0 for your copy!

Some of the back cvr grit would easily be removed with a white eraser careful strokes. Don't go near outer edges though focus on spine area. Erasing near outer corners easily rips off a corner.

Dont go near the missing piece near staple either....

Hi kav! :hi:

When using the white eraser (I use the Staedler Mars Plastic for paper and film) I have never used it on a comic book. So here are a couple of questions:

1). Will you not be removing the gloss from the cover with the eraser?

2). Is there another "white" eraser you are referring to?

Thanks!
